Back to Kuta

Day 6
18OCT2009 SUN,  Ubud---Kuta

Ubud Market---Ubud Palace---Kuta---Jimbaran Bay
Before leaving Ubud, we had a walk at Ubud market. A good place to shop for souveniours, but must bargain. Besides, we walked to Ubud Palace too. There has function on sunday, so palace is closed out of visiting.

Do survey a transport to Kuta. Local mini bus cost at around 15,000rp/pax to Batu Bulan. We are required to transit then. Mini bus is easy to reach in front of Ubud market. In order to rest well, we are decided to get a shuttle bus at 50,000rp/pax directly to Kuta. Shuttle bus are available at 9.15am, 12.15pm and 3.15pm daily.

Today is Sunday, Kuta is full of local and oversea tourists. Most of the hotels and resorts are fully booked. It's impossible to get a budget room already. With no choice, we have to stay at 300,000rp deluxe room in New Arena Hotel.  After dropped luggage, we went to rent a motorbike (40,000/day), then head to Jimbaran Bay.

30mins driving, we reached Jimbaran Bay at 5pm. Jimbaran Bay's restaurants' waiters were busying to arrange dining tables and chairs on beach. All menu among the restaurants here are pretty similar. Price is negotiable. Finally we choiced Menega Restaurant, and ordered two sets of  one pax package which included 1/2 slide of fish, 3 shells, 2 jumbo prawns, 3 squidd sticks, a plate of fruits dessert and a cool drink. The package is only 105000rp.  All seafood is cook by BBQ style.
